Iranian herbal distillates, also known as “aragh” or “aragh-e-giahie,” have been a souvenir of some Iranian cities for many years, as well as a means of preventing and treating various diseases and maintaining the health of different body organs, leading to numerous people buying them every year. Distillates such as peppermint, rose water, dandelion, milk thistle, marigold, valerian, borage, fennel, bitter orange blossom, and more are among the most popular Iranian distillates.

Every year, many Iranian cities with a long history of producing herbal distillates host tourists and people from different parts of Iran. Nowadays, tourists not only visit these cities but also buy different types of distillates to benefit from their properties. Qamsar, Kashan, Arasbaran, Sarab-e-Azerbaijan, and many other cities in East and West Azerbaijan, Kermanshah, Isfahan, Gilan, and more are active in producing and selling herbal distillates.
